The explanation of joy
I encourage you to rediscover your joy and not try to be happy all the time. Searching for happiness makes us miserable, leading to high anxiety, depression and stress. We inherently search for happiness and avoid suffering.
I came across this video recently and wanted to share it with you. I love Matthew McConaughey since I read his biography. That man has been through so much. After reading, “Greenlights” I thought it’s a wonder he isn’t in gaol or dead.
I highly recommend you read this book. It’s a story built around his diary that he kept for 35 years, about the lessons learned, dreams, hopes and experiences during his life.
If you can’t tell, I loved reading it and hope you do too.
I came across this video that broke the internet and I can see why. It’s motivating and inspiring!
Matthew says that, “Happiness is an emotional response to an outcome” and “… Joy is the feeling that we have when we do what we’re fashioned to do. No matter the outcome”.
Watch it and see what you think. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
